Description
CORDOBOND Red Putty
is a two component, high strength repair material consisting of Resin plus reinforcing filler and Activator.
When Resin and Activator are mixed, there is a progressive exotherm that produces a material of stiff,
putty-like consistency.

CORDOBOND Red Putty, when cured, can be drilled, threaded, machined, filed or hacksawed.
Abrasion and corrosion resistant, it is not affected by moderately high or sub-zero temperatures.
CORDOBOND Red Putty requires no external heat.

Applications
CORDOBOND Red Putty can be used in every phase of industry including marine, refineries, public
utilities, farming and chemical. CORDOBOND Red Putty adheres tenaciously to materials such as steel,
other metals, wood and ceramics. It can be clamped over a leak using sufficient pressure to stop the
flow of low temperature, low-pressure liquid or steam.

General Patching Conditions
Clean all surfaces thoroughly, removing all paint, grease, dirt, etc.
The adhesion of a CORDOBOND Red Putty repair depends upon the condition of the surface of the substrate
with which it is in direct contact.

Do not mix resin and activator until actually ready to use. Resin container is slack filled to permit addition
of activator for mixing. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Use rubber gloves, goggles and protective
clothing. Follow the safety instructions given in data sheet entitled, "Hazards and Handling Precautions
Bulletin for CORDOBOND Systems."
